Manulife Walk for Memories

On the morning of Saturday, January 31 join us for a wonderful 40 minute indoor walk through the underground PATH system in downtown Toronto. Come along to Allen Lambert Galleria in Brookfield Place (formerly BCE Place) to celebrate the magic of music and help us raise $400,000 to support families dealing with Alzheimer's.

Come prepared to sing and move to the music as we step back in time. We'll have great entertainment, goodies and prizes for the best walkers and teams BUT best of all you get to come in a costume from your favourite musical era - Yes, we want YOU to DRESS UP

Here are a few details to get you going.

START FUNDRAISING
The Online Registration and Pledging site will is now OPEN. Register now, set up your personal page, decide on a goal and starting asking everyone you know to make a pledge to you. Do a COMBO of both online and offline by using the paper pledge form for cash and cheque donations.
The walk brochures have been mailed out, if you'd like more or if you are a new walker and would like some to help us spread the word, please give Kendel a call at 416-640-6406.

FORM A TEAM
Walk 2008 had over 80 Teams... So please ask family, friends and colleagues to join you and start a Team of your own to honour that someone special in your life and raise money for this very important cause.

FIND YOUR COSTUME FOR WALK DAY
Start digging through your wardrobe to find a costume from your favourite musical period. It could be that groovy disco or hippie or rock and roll outfit that you've all been longing to wear... just one more time.Whether you're walking solo, with family or with a Team come DRESSED UP in a costume...and celebrate with us on Saturday, January 31, 2009.

MANULIFE WALL OF MEMORIES
The Wall is a place to remember and honour those touched by Alzheimer's. So please bring a photo and a story of your special someone on the day of the Walk.
